Electrochemical Sensing Platform Based on Renewable Carbon Modified with Antimony Nanoparticles for Methylparaben Detection in Personal Care Products

This paper describes for the first time surface modification of glassy carbon (GC) electrodes with bamboo-based renewable (RC) and antimony nanoparticles (SbNPs) determination methylparaben (MePa) in personal care products (PCPs). The synthesized RC-SbNP material was successfully characterized by scanning electron microcopy, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy cyclic voltammetry. proposed sensor applied detection MePa using optimized parameters differential pulse voltammetry (DPV). analytical range 0.2 to 9.0 µmol L−1, limits quantification 0.05 L−1 0.16 respectively. real PCP samples performed GC/RC-SbNP DPV UV-vis spectrophotometry as comparative methodology. use development electrochemical sensors brings a fresh approach low-cost devices analysis.
